Brendan Kearns
Diving and Legislative Compliance

Brendan brings a wealth of experience to the company from Diving; Inspection and auditing. He is a registered OHSAS18001 Lead Auditor with IRCA UK and has been in the audit team for Saturation, Air and ROV diving systems for major oil companies.

Brendan holds a Masters Degree in Law and brings to the course the view point of legal compliance as well as the hands on diving technical aspects for working as a client representative. He has acted as a client site representative on inspection and maintenance projects in both the Middle and Far East. Having worked in the Offshore Commercial Diving Industry in the United Kingdom, Africa, Middle East and Asian regions over the past 26 years; Brendan has also qualified as an ASNT Level 3 Inspection Consultant, PCN Level 2 multi-disciplined inspector & IRATA LII Rope Access technician.

With many years of experience as a Specialist diving consultant, diving systems auditor, Brendan’s passion and an eye for details has proven himself to be the ideal person to deliver the training and is geared up to impart his knowledge with the industries.


Darren Brunton
Diving and HSE Trainer

Darren brings a wide range of diving and safety management expertise to this course. He played a primary role in the course development and aligning the contents to meet the OGP requirements.

Qualified as an IMCA Bell Diving Supervisor, he has previously worked in the Asia Pacific, China, United Kingdom and South American regions. Registered with IRCA UK as an OHSAS Lead Auditor, Darren is also a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Safety & Occupational Health (CFIOSH). He has attended the DNV Diving Systems Surveyor training course and is an active member of the IMCA Diving Division Management Committee (DDMC). He has worked in the Offshore Oil & Gas Diving industry since 1990 as a diver, diving supervisor, client representative, diving system auditor, company auditor, HS &E and diving management trainer and prior to that in the military as a Military Diving Instructor training divers to HSE Part 1 standard.

With an overall career within the diving industry spanning from 1979, Darren brings to the OGP course the hands-on experience of both offshore operations, safety management, compliance and training deliverables which enables this course to be a learning experience. His ‘Can-Do Attitude’ is an inspiration to many in the industry!
